Smoky Mountain Splendor is an elegant cedar log sided cabin located in the quiet community of Crest View.

Smoky Mountain Splendor is on 2/3 of an acre. It backs to parkland and a farm. You will enjoy roosters in the morning and not much more in the way of noise.

This cabin is NOT pet friendly.

Picturesque country roads lead you to your mountain adventure without the steep climb.

Down the road from Smoky Mountain Splendor find the peaceful side of the Smokies in quintessential town of Townsend. Grab a meal at Firefly Cafe loaded with local charm. Stop off at Little River Railroad and Lumber Company Museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of the region.

Let the folks at Next to Heaven Ziplines and Riding Stables assist you with your Smoky Mountain adventure, offering the only unguided horseback ride or zip down the mountainside with one of the three line courses.

We charge an extra $20.00 per night plus tax for any adult in your group over 6. If you are booking on AirBnB , the additional person charge will not automatically be added to your total. I will send you a separate payment request for this after you book.

There is a wheel chair ramp from the parking area to the deck. There is a French Door from the back deck that can be opened to allow a wide access. If only one door is open, the opening is 33". The front door is 32" wide and the bedroom is 30" wide. This cabin is not ADA compliant. There is still a little bump at the threshold.

The space

Enjoy incredible mountain views from the spacious wrap around deck. Catch the nightly star and firefly show from the comfort of the private deck on the upper level or the quaint lower level patio. This cabin is perched on a .62 acre wooded lot which affords privacy for your Smoky Mountain Vacation.

The open floor plan comfortably accommodates your family and friends. Smoky Mountain Splendor has two spacious king master suites, (one on the main level and one on the lower level), each having a gas log fireplace, whirlpool tub and luxurious private bathroom featuring custom cabinetry with double vanities, tile flooring, and walk-in showers with seats.

The living room has a pull out sofa bed.

Upstairs in the loft area, you will find the media/game room with surround sound, shuffleboard table, high definition TV, electric fireplace, queen bed and another large full bath. The loft is serving as the third bedroom. It is partially walled.

Smoky Mountain Splendor offers convenience and privacy located just 5 miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, 9 miles from Dollywood, only 14 miles to Gatlinburg, 10 miles to the Metcalf Bottoms entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 25 miles to Cades Cove.

Guest access

You will have access to the entire home except the space under the stairs which we use to store supplies like light bulbs, etc. There also will be a couple extra light bulbs under the kitchen sink. Extra batteries can be found in the drawer in the kitchen.

Please contact us via email at smokymountainsplendor@ gmail.com or via phone at 302-803-4856. Please don't call after 9 PM for non emergency situations. I am an early riser. Anything after 6 AM and I should pick up the phone.

Other things to note

Hot Tub Waiver

If you opt to use the hot tub at Smoky mountain Splendor, I agree to the following conditions:

· No more than 6 persons

· No food or drink allowed in the tub

· No body lotions

· Rinse off before entry

· No infants

· Children 16 years of age or younger shall be accompanied by an adult

· All individuals including pregnant women and those under the influence of alcohol shall use the hot tub at their own risk.

If the hot tub is damaged it is your responsibility to contact Great Smoky Vacations at 302-803-4856.

It is the tenants responsibility to require everyone in their party to abide by these rules.

The owners or Great Smoky Vacations will not be held liable for any liability associated with the use of the hot tub.

House Rules

1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. EST AND CHECK-OUT IS 10 A.M. EST.
2. This is a NON SMOKING cabin.
3. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
4. PAYMENT - A 25% deposit is due upon signing contract An advance payment equal to 40% is required 60 days before arrival and remaining balance due 14 days prior to arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the cabin rent. Please make payments in the form of credit card, traveler's checks, bank money orders, or cashiers checks. There will be a PreAuthorization hold put on your credit card for up to $300.00 for any damage done to the property.
5. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 'Bookings made less than 60 days before arrival are non refundable'.
6. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in.
7. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests is limited to eight
(8) persons. An additional charge or $20.00 per person per night for guests in addition to eight (8) will be assessed. You will not have any additional people in this unti thaan the amount stated in your inquiry. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A TWO (2) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.
8. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will be charged the two-night rate.
9. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.
10. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however maid services are available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring pool towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. Please put dishes in dishwasher before you leave and take all trash to the dumpster out front. An additional charge will be assessed if these check out procedures are not followed.
11. RATE CHANGES - Rates subject to change without notice.
12. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. No Subletting.
13. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
14.State of emergency- No refunds will be given unless the National Weather Service orders mandatory state of emergency in the area of residence of our vacation home (Sevierville TN).
The day that the National Weather Service orders a state of emergency area, we will refund:
a. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,
b. Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the state of emergency is lifted; and
c. Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the state of emergency period.
15. We strive to keep the cabin in great working order but like our own home, something might be wrong from time to time. We try to get these repairs done as soon as possible as per vendors schedules permit. Refunds are not given unless your stay has to be cancelled by the owner if the property is inhabitable.
16. If you turn off the pilot lights on the fireplaces, an additional fee will be assessed to have someone come out and relight the pilot light.
17. Children must be supervised especially on the decks, ladder to the loft and in the loft area.
18. You agree not to put the air conditioner below 72 degrees.
19. We encourage you to get travel insurance by going to: https://www.travelprotection.insure/204.html.
20. At any time during, before, or after your stay with us, your information may be shared with a website designed to report guests who are disrespectful of the rental property.
21. The owners and Great Smoky Vacations will not be held liable for any liability associated with the use of the hot tub.
By signing this contract, you agree that all communications--with the exception of personal phone numbers, banking and credit card info, and street addresses--between the renter and owner regarding renting this cabin, may be recorded and published to a public web site.
